With a view to bring Gujarati Diaspora closer to mainstream Gujarat, President of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Shri Rupesh C. Shah and his team of office bearers have taken an initiative to set up a Non Resident Gujaratis Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri K. H. Patel, former Indian High Commissioner to Uganda and Ambassador to Rwanda & Burundi. Shri Patel has also rendered services on special diplomatic assignments of international nature at UN and other Indian Missions across the world. He has been on Foreign Trade Committee of GCCI for several years. He has also been a Director on the Board of Directors of the Gujarat Government’s Non Resident Gujaratis Foundation. He is a Trustee on the Board of Mahatma Gandhi Ashram Trust.
